Argument about Building of the Nan Ao Bridge
For:
1 Problems such as the lack of fresh water and the inconvenient accession will be solved if the bridge is built.
2 The building of the bridge will bring prosperity into Nan Ao. For example, the economy of Dongtou County of Zhejiang Province has surpassed that of Nan Ao County since it was connected with the mainland.
3 Last but not least, the inconvenient communications is the very factor that restricts the development of Nan Ao. Therefore, it is of great importance to set up a bridge connecting the island to the mainland.
Against:
1 The establishment of the bridge will bring the bad ecological effects on Nan Ao. For example, many mountains will be bombed in order to get the stones. And other problems like expanding population, pollution will thus occur.
2 The mysteries that are the very attraction of the Nao Ao Island will disappear if the bridge is established.
3 Last but not least, Nao Ao that is called the ecological treasure of the South China Sea boasts many precious sightseeing resources that are its advantages to develop tourism. It is essential to keep its unique characteristics so as to attract more tourists and the isolation is also one of the advantages.
